Job summary

insightsoftware is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure with a focus on IaC using Terraform and Azure cloud services. The role will lead automation initiatives, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with development teams to establish best practices for cloud operations.

You will manage CI/CD pipelines, monitor and secure infrastructure, and drive performance improvements across Azure and AWS environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum DevOps or infrastructure engineering experience.
• Hands-on Terraform and IaC principles experience.
• Production experience with Azure or AWS cloud services.
• Scripting language proficiency (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
• Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, etc.).
• Solid understanding of containerization and cloud container services.
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools and cloud security.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain IaC using Terraform for Azure/AWS resources.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated infrastructure deployment and app releases.
• Manage Azure/AWS cloud infrastructure including VMs, App Services, AKS/ACS, databases, networking.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting with third-party tools (DataDog).
• Enforce infrastructure security, compliance, and DR procedures.
• Mentor junior DevOps engineers and promote knowledge sharing.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and optimize application performance.
• Lead capacity planning and document architecture decisions.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Terraform, and Azure cloud services. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure. You will lead infrastructure automation initiatives, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with development teams to establish best practices for cloud operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform to provision and manage Azure resources
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated infrastructure deployment and application release cycles
• Manage Azure/AWS cloud infrastructure including VMs, App Services, AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service)/ACS (AWS Kubernetes Service), databases, and networking
• Implement infrastructure monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using third-party tools such as DataDog.
• Establish and enforce infrastructure security best practices, compliance standards, and disaster recovery procedures
• Mentor junior DevOps engineers and promote knowledge sharing across the organization
• Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot infrastructure issues and optimize application performance
• Lead infrastructure planning and capacity management initiatives; document architecture decisions

Required Qualifications

• Professional DevOps or infrastructure engineering experience
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code principles
• Production experience with Microsoft Azure or AWS cloud services and resources
• Strong proficiency in at least one scripting language (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
• Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, or similar tools)
• Solid understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and Cloud container services
• Experience with infrastructure monitoring and observability tools
• Strong knowledge of cloud security, network architecture, and identity management

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range in Poland for this position is 150,000.00 to 187,000.00 PLN Annual.

For sales roles, this range includes the commission target. For non-sales roles, this is a base salary only range; additional bonus eligibility may apply.
