Job summary

Centre is seeking a Senior Technical Consultant on the SME team to design and implement IT infrastructure solutions in Microsoft Azure, with secondary AWS support. You will drive standards, onboarding/offboarding, and proactive improvements that boost reliability, security, and performance for customer environments.

This role requires 10+ years IT experience with 2+ years hands-on Azure (5+ years for senior SME scope), Azure certifications AZ-104 and AZ-305 at minimum, and strong ownership with

Qualifications

• Education: Associate’s Degree required (Bachelor’s Degree preferred)
• Experience: 10+ years general IT experience with 2+ years hands‑on Microsoft Azure experience (5+ years Azure preferred for senior‑level SME scope)
• Certifications (Microsoft Azure): AZ-104 and AZ-305 are required; AZ-500 and AZ-700 desired; additional Azure certifications are optional but preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize Azure cloud infrastructure to meet availability, performance, and uptime SLAs.
• Provide proactive recommendations and continuous improvement for customer Azure environments across tenant organizations.
• Own monitoring, alerting, reporting, troubleshooting, and performance tuning (including actionable alert hygiene and meaningful operational dashboards).
• Maintain required Microsoft Azure certifications and align with Centre’s SME certification matrix.
• Lead high-severity incident response and serve as escalation point; drive timely resolution and post-incident follow-up.
• Translate business requirements into secure, scalable Azure solutions aligned to Centre standards and customer outcomes.
