Job summary

The Defense Sector at Leidos is seeking a Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, and manage hybrid cloud infrastructure for multiple Air Force programs. The role emphasizes Azure IaaS/PaaS, IaC tooling, and DevSecOps practices in a fast-paced environment.

On-site in Omaha, NE, with consideration given to candidates near Lorton, VA and Oklahoma City, OK. You will join a team providing 24x7 monitoring and security-focused operations.

Qualifications

• US Citizen with at least an active Top Secret security clearance and ability to obtain SCI prior to start date.
• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of experience or Master’s degree with 2+ years of experience; additional experience accepted in lieu of degree.
• DoD 8140 Intermediate certification (Security+ CE or equivalent).
• Azure Administrator Associate AZ-104 or equivalent certs from other cloud providers.
• Proficiency in virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, OpenStack).
• Proficiency in major public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI).
• Hands-on experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
• Solid understanding of containers (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana) and incident management.
• Solid networking knowledge (VPCs, subnets, VPNs, firewalls).
• DevSecOps practices and continuous learning in cybersecurity and DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage hybrid cloud infrastructures in Azure (IaaS & PaaS).
• Automate deployments with IaC/Configuration-as-Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, ARM/BICEP).
• Provision and scale Azure resources with cross-functional teams.
• Monitor resource usage for cost efficiency and scalability.
• Troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Ensure security/compliance within a DevSecOps framework.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and integrate infrastructure automation.
• Implement and manage Docker and Kubernetes for microservices.
• Configure monitoring to ensure availability and performance.
• Assist audits (RMF, NIST, ISO 27001) and document procedures.
