Job summary

The Defense Sector at Leidos is seeking a Cloud Engineer to deploy, maintain, and scale hybrid cloud Infrastructure for Air Force programs in Omaha, NE. The role emphasizes DevSecOps and Everything-as-Code, with on-site work and 24x7 support duties for monitoring and incident response.

You will work with Azure, Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines to ensure secure, scalable cloud solutions across multi-cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain SCI
• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years or Master’s with 2+ years
• DoD 8140 Intermediate cert (Security+ CE or equivalent)
• Azure AZ-104 or equivalent certifications
• VMware, Hyper-V, OpenStack experience
• Public cloud experience in AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI
• Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation (IaC)
• Docker & Kubernetes experience
• Prometheus & Grafana monitoring experience
• Networking basics: VPCs, subnets, VPNs, firewalls
• DevSecOps principles knowledge
• Continuous learning in cybersecurity & DevOps

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructures in Microsoft Azure across hybrid environments
• Automate deployments using IaC and Config-as-Code tools
• Provision, maintain, and scale Azure resources with cross-functional teams
• Monitor resource utilization for cost efficiency and scalability
• Troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysis
• Ensure security/compliance within DevSecOps framework
• Support CI/CD pipelines and integrate infrastructure automation
• Implement containerization/orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes
• Configure monitoring to ensure availability and performance
• Apply security best practices including IAM, segmentations, encryption
• Assist in audits (RMF, NIST, ISO 27001)
• Provide Tier-2/3 support and knowledge sharing
• Document configurations and troubleshooting steps
