Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Cloud Engineer in Omaha, NE to design, deploy, and manage hybrid cloud infrastructure across Air Force programs. The role focuses on Azure IaaS & PaaS, IaC automation with Terraform and ARM/BICEP, and operating within a DevSecOps framework.

The position requires on-site work in Omaha with on-call support and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure security, compliance, and scalable cloud services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of experience or a Master’s degree with 2+ years of experience, additional years accepted in lieu of a degree.
• DoD 8140 Intermediate certification required (Security+ CE or equivalent).
• Intermediate Azure Certifications such as AZ-104 or equivalent.
• Experience with virtualization technologies and multiple public cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage hybrid cloud infrastructure in Azure (IaaS & PaaS).
• Automate deployments with IaC and Configuration-as-Code tools like Terraform, Ansible, and ARM/BICEP.
• Provision and scale cloud resources with cross-functional teams.
• Monitor resource usage for cost efficiency and scalability.
• Troubleshoot system, app, and infra issues; perform root cause analysis.
• Ensure security, compliance, and DevSecOps practices.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and integrate infrastructure automation.
• Implement Docker/Kubernetes for microservices.
• Configure monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Assist in audits and RMF/NIST/ISO 27001.
