Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an Azure Infrastructure & DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and operate cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. You will modernize infrastructure with IaC, automate deployments, and strengthen security across environments from DC to cloud.

The role requires 8+ years in cloud/DevOps, strong Azure expertise, and hands-on scripting (PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible). This contract position is based in Washington, DC with a hybrid work setup.

Qualifications

Job description

We are seeking an Azure Infrastructure & DevOps Engineer to support the design, implementation, and operation of cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. This role combines Azure architecture, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), DevOps automation, and security remediation. You will work closely with development and operations teams to modernize infrastructure, strengthen security posture, and support key migration efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage Azure infrastructure, including compute, network, and storage services.

Modernize the infrastructure repository by bringing unmanaged Azure resources into source control and refactoring IaC (primarily PowerShell).

Automate deployments and operational workflows using Infrastructure as code (IaC) tools and scripting.

Analyze and remediate Azure scan findings, focusing on critical and highpriority issues to meet security and compliance standards.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90.00 - $95.00/hr.
