Job summary

ITC Federal, LLC is seeking an Azure Cloud/DevOps Engineer to support a mission-critical federal program in downtown Washington, DC. This Terraform-first role owns infrastructure as code end to end—writing the Terraform, building the GitLab pipelines that ship it, and standing up the Azure Virtual Desktop environment that live users rely on daily.

You will join a small, senior, hands-on team with direct access to the customer, where proposed improvements go straight to the person who can approve

Qualifications

• 5+ years in cloud engineering or DevOps with strong Azure experience.
• Deep Azure core services knowledge and production design/operating experience.
• Hands-on Terraform experience; writing and maintaining modules.
• Solid PowerShell scripting for automation and configuration.
• Experience building/troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines in GitLab.
• Hands-on Azure Virtual Desktop in production, with host pools and FSLogix.
• Experience with Azure networking (VNets, NSGs, VPN/ExpressRoute).
• Familiarity with FedRAMP, NIST, RMF security controls.
• Strong troubleshooting and ability to communicate clearly; onsite three days/week.

Responsibilities

• Azure Cloud Engineering: design, deploy, and maintain Azure infra and networking.
• Infrastructure as Code: develop Terraform modules and templates.
• Azure Virtual Desktop: deploy and manage AVD environments for live users.
• CI/CD & Automation: build and maintain GitLab pipelines; automate operations.
• Security & Compliance: implement RBAC, Key Vault, IAM, encryption per federal standards.
• Monitoring & Reliability: use Azure Monitor and Log Analytics to track health.
• Collaboration: work with engineering, security, and program staff onsite.
