Job summary

ITC Federal, Inc. seeks an Azure Cloud/DevOps Engineer to own IaC and modernize a mission‑critical Azure environment in Washington, DC. You will write Terraform, build GitLab pipelines, and stand up production AVD for a live user base.

The role emphasizes hands‑on Azure core services, Terraform mastery, and security controls aligned with FedRAMP, NIST, and RMF, with onsite work three days per week.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or systems engineering with substantial hands‑on Microsoft Azure experience.
• Demonstrated depth with Azure core services and architecture, including designing and operating production environments.
• Strong hands‑on Terraform experience, including writing and maintaining modules used by peers.
• Solid PowerShell scripting ability for automation and system configuration.
• Working experience building and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines in GitLab.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop in production, including host pools and session hosts.
• Experience with Azure networking and security controls in federal environments.
• Familiarity with FedRAMP, NIST, RMF and related security frameworks.
• Ability to work onsite in downtown Washington, DC three days per week.

Responsibilities

• Azure Cloud Engineering: design, deploy, and maintain Azure infrastructure and networking.
• Infrastructure as Code: develop and maintain Terraform modules and templates.
• Azure Virtual Desktop: deploy, configure, and manage AVD environments for live users.
• CI/CD & Automation: build, maintain, and troubleshoot GitLab pipelines.
• Security & Compliance: implement secure cloud practices and align with federal controls.
• Monitoring & Reliability: use Azure Monitor and Log Analytics to ensure SLAs.
• Collaboration: work with engineering, security, and program staff to advance modernization.
