Job summary

RDSolutions in Virginia is seeking a Cloud Systems Administrator to oversee our cloud architecture across Azure VMs, networking, storage, and PaaS databases. You will partner with developers and IT staff to ensure scalable, secure, and compliant cloud platforms.

The role emphasizes governance of MSPs and vendors, cost management, and supporting ISO27001/SOC2 audits, with a hybrid schedule in our HQ.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in IT.
5+ years in IT infrastructure/cloud ops with ≥3 years cloud-focused work.
Proven owner/lead for cloud infrastructure and vendor governance.
Strong Azure expertise across compute, networking, identity, storage and security.

Responsibilities

Own the cloud infrastructure strategy and ops for Azure VMs, networking, storage and PaaS services.
Serve as the primary owner/escalation point for reliability and security of cloud infra.
Govern MSPs and vendors; oversee governance, change approvals and performance.
Define and enforce standards, policies and vendor-cloud environment expectations.
Review vendor changes, incident responses and remediation for quality/compliance.
Manage cloud cost with budgets, forecasts, capacity planning and optimization.
Coordinate internal/external security audits; remediate findings timely.
