Job summary

Koniag Technology Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Architect to lead enterprise cloud strategy, design, and implementation for government customers. The role requires active clearance and deep expertise in cloud-native and hybrid Azure architectures.

You will build secure, scalable solutions, develop IaC with Terraform, and implement automated CI/CD pipelines with GitLab. Strong leadership and communication to executives are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of technical and/or management leadership on DevSecOps and architecture initiatives.
• At least 5 years of hands-on Azure enterprise architecture experience.
• 5+ years building non-containerized DevSecOps with IaC, CI/CD, and scripting.
• Active Secret clearance or higher; Top Secret preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for Azure architecture, strategy, design, and support across programs.
• Design security-driven Azure enterprise architectures and interoperability frameworks.
• Provide architectural leadership for services, including DevSecOps models.
• Architect scalable, available enterprise systems using Azure Native and Hybrid Cloud.
• Lead IaC initiatives using Terraform in non-containerized environments.
• Build automated CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI focused on IaC deployments.
• Develop PowerShell scripts to support automation and deployment tasks.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement automation to improve engineering lifecycles.
• Present architectures clearly to executive leadership and non-technical stakeholders.
• Foster collaboration and continuous improvement through automation.
• Operate in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, TDD).
• Collaborate to ensure cloud architecture aligns with security and federal standards.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship on best practices.
