Job summary

Rackspace Technology in India is seeking an experienced L2 Cloud Engineer to provide 24x7 Azure and AWS technical support. You will mentor L1 engineers, drive best practices for deployments, and coordinate with offshore teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

The role requires hands-on expertise with Azure IaaS/PaaS, AKS, Terraform, and observability tools such as Azure Monitor and Grafana, along with strong communication to translate complex issues for leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years hands-on experience with Azure cloud services in technical support/engineering roles.
• Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, observability, automation, and security best practices.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified or AWS Certified.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Escalation and Resolution for Azure-related issues to minimize downtime.
• Lead technical discussions with customer teams and provide best practices.
• Modify/write Basic Terraform scripts.
• Collaborate with matrixed teams and offshore support.
• Mentor L1 engineers with technical guidance.
• Translate complex concepts for leadership.
• Deliver incident reports and post-mortems for Azure-related issues.
