Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an Azure AD B2C Identity Engineer to design, develop, and support secure customer identity solutions using Azure AD B2C and IEF, collaborating with IAM, security, and application teams.

You will implement federation, SSO, and REST API integrations, manage policies and app registrations, and troubleshoot token-related issues across environments. Remote role in the United States.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of IAM, authentication, or identity platform engineering.
• Deep hands-on experience with Azure AD B2C and IEF custom policy development.
• Extensive experience with custom-policy XML, including claims providers, technical profiles, orchestration steps, claims transformations, and relying party policies.
• Strong experience implementing identity federation and SSO using OpenID Connect, OAuth 2.0, and SAML.
• Experience integrating external identity providers and enterprise identity platforms.
• Expertise in Azure AD B2C application registrations, redirect URIs, certificates, secrets, token claims, and session management.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support Azure AD B2C identity solutions using IEF custom policies.
• Build and maintain custom policies, including claims providers, technical profiles, user journeys, orchestration steps, claims transformations, and relying party policies.
• Implement federation and SSO integrations using OpenID Connect, OAuth 2.0, SAML, and external identity provider connections.
• Configure and manage Azure AD B2C applications, app registrations, redirect URIs, certificates, secrets, token claims, and session management policies.
• Troubleshoot authentication, authorization, policy execution, and token-related issues using Application Insights, logging tools, JWT analysis, and diagnostic frameworks.
• Develop and support REST API technical profiles and custom integrations within Azure AD B2C environments.
• Review, update, and enhance existing custom-policy XML configurations to improve functionality, performance, and security.
• Support testing, deployment, and migration activities across development, test, staging, and production environments.
• Partner with IAM, application development, infrastructure, and security teams to deliver enterprise identity solutions.
• Provide technical guidance, best practices, and troubleshooting support throughout the identity solution lifecycle.
