Job summary

GENERIS TEK, INC. seeks an IP Pharmacist for a 13-week contract at Tuba City, AZ. The position offers day shifts on 7on/7off rotation, with hours 0900–2200 on weekdays and 1100–2200 on weekends.

Responsibilities include comprehensive pharmacy and medication management for a diverse patient population. Requirements include a Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Pharmacy, active US license, BLS, and at least two years as a Registered Pharmacist plus one year as a Clinical Pharmacist.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Pharmacy degree recognized by ACPE.
• Current valid and unrestricted license to practice Pharmacy in a US state or territory.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Registered Pharmacist.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Clinical Pharmacist.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pharmacy and medication management services.
• Deliver direct patient care across neonatal to obstetric patients.
• Support inpatient and outpatient clinical pharmacy services and programs.
• Help administer policies and supervise pharmacy staff and operations.

Job Description:

This position provides services at the TCRHCC main campus and satellite clinics. Pharmacist is responsible for providing a comprehensive pharmacy and medication management service to patients and ensures a consistent level of service in accordance to TCRHCC policies. Direct patient care and services are provided to neo-natal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric, oncology, and obstetric patients. This position requires working rotational shifts: day, evening, nights, weekends, and Holidays. The position provides the opportunity for career advancement through tier levels of Pharmacist to Advanced Practice Pharmacist as determined by pharmacy experience. Advanced Practice Pharmacist serves as a clinical pharmacist for direct clinical pharmacy services for inpatient and outpatient departments. In addition to the responsibilities of Advanced Practice Pharmacist I, Advanced Practice Pharmacist II is responsible for all specialized pharmacy-based clinics and providing an ongoing analysis of clinical services to develop programs that commensurate with the highest quality of care. Responsibilities also include the administration of policies and procedures and directing programs and activities in accordance to TCRHCC's mission, vision, and values. Incumbent serves as the Clinic Manager of Operations at the designated clinic(s) and provides technical and administrative supervision to professional and non-professional employees, i.e. Advanced Practice I, Staff Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Pharmacy Assistants and Pharmacy Billers.

Regional Health Care Corporation is located in Northwestern Arizona on the land known as the Colorado Plateau. This semi-desert landscape varies in elevation from 4,400 in the Little Colorado River Valley to nearly 7,000 feet at Preston Mesa. The unique community of Tuba City offers a culturally rich environment. The Native American tribes located and served here are the Navajo, Hopi, and Southern Paiute. This mixture along with Anglo, Hispanic, and African American employees of the hospital and school systems make a pleasantly diverse community. The staff of medical providers includes surgeons, general medical officers, internal medicine, psychiatrists, pediatricians, family practice physicians, obstetricians, ENT specialists, orthopedic surgeons, and urologists. Dental staff includes general dentists, endodontists, oral and maxillofacial surgeons, pediatric dentists, dental assistants and hygienists. The nursing staff includes registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, nursing assistants, community health nurses, nurse practitioners, nurse midwives, CRNA, and community health medics.

Fingerprinting must be submitted and cleared prior to start.

REQUIRED: Doctor of Pharmacy or a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from a school recognized by the American Council of Pharmaceutical Education. Must have a current valid and unrestricted license to practice Pharmacy in a State or Territory of the United States, or the District of Columbia and have a current valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. A minimum of two (2) years' experience as a Registered Pharmacist; A minimum of one (1) year experience as a Clinical Pharmacist.
