Job summary

Elsevier is seeking a Systems Engineer III to support our AWS Cloud infrastructure, automation, and operational tasks. You will partner with product and engineering teams to deploy, troubleshoot, and automate live services within the Nursing Health Education domain.

The role emphasizes scalable, resilient architectures, documentation of procedures, and collaboration across teams to drive continuous improvement in cloud operations and deployment pipelines.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting cloud infrastructure, automation, or DevOps tasks.
• Hands-on with AWS and familiarity with Cloud/DevOps tooling.
• Familiarity with Terraform or similar IaC tools.
• Scripting skills in Python or Go.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Helm, or ArgoCD.
• Proactive approach to automating repetitive tasks and operational workflows.
• Proficiency with Linux administration and CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions.

• Support cloud infrastructure deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting in AWS.
• Assist in automating operational tasks and workflows to improve efficiency.
