Job summary

AppLab Systems, Inc is seeking an AWS Solutions Architect to design, govern, and implement secure, scalable cloud solutions for enterprise banking applications and modernization initiatives. You will collaborate with business, engineering, security, and infrastructure teams to define cloud strategies and drive adoption of AWS capabilities while ensuring compliance and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of IT experience.
• 5+ years of AWS architecture experience.
• Experience with cloud migration programs.
• Strong AWS networking, security, and compute expertise.
• Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with microservices and API architectures.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Define cloud migration and transformation strategies.
• Develop reference architectures, reusable patterns, and architecture standards.
• Lead architecture reviews and technology evaluations.
• Create secure cloud designs aligned with regulatory requirements.
• Partner with development teams to implement cloud-native solutions.
• Define multi-region and disaster recovery architectures.
• Establish Infrastructure as Code standards using Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Drive container and Kubernetes adoption strategies.
• Design API-first and event-driven integration patterns.
• Collaborate with Security and Risk teams to satisfy governance requirements.
• Optimize cloud cost, performance, and reliability.
• Mentor engineers and solution architects.
