Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Cupertino, CA is seeking a Hardware Development Manager to lead the team responsible for AWS servers from concept to production and end of life, covering CPU architectures and high-performance compute platforms.

You will collaborate with firmware, software, mechanical, reliability, and safety teams to deliver integrated hardware solutions for EC2, S3, and CloudFront, owning fleet quality and design standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in engineering team management.
• Experience in new hardware product development.
• Experience in DFx (cost, test, manufacturing).
• Experience with project management of technical projects.
• 5+ years hardware design and development for server/compute platforms.

Responsibilities

• Define server architectures based on workload demand and customer requirements.
• Work with interdisciplinary teams to deliver cohesive designs.
• Drive design reviews with ODM/JDM partners for schematic, layout, BOM, and DFx.
