Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Cupertino seeks an experienced Hardware Development Manager to lead the design of high‑performance AWS servers from concept to production.

You will manage a team of hardware engineers, collaborate with firmware, software, mechanical, and reliability groups, and drive execution across DFx and manufacturing. Responsibilities include defining server architectures, guiding ODM/JDM partnerships, and delivering scalable hardware solutions for EC2 and other services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• Experience in engineering team management.
• Experience in new hardware product development.
• Experience in DFx (cost, test, manufacturing).
• Experience with the project management of technical projects.
• 5+ years of hardware design and development for server or large-scale infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Define server architectures based on workload demand and customer requirements.
• Work with interdisciplinary teams of component, firmware, test, qualification, and integration engineers to deliver cohesive designs.
• Drive design reviews with ODM/JDM partners covering schematic, layout, BOM, and manufacturing DFx.
