Job summary

Athene is seeking an IT Manager – AWS to lead strategy, delivery, and evolution of the AWS platform across the enterprise. You will partner with architecture, infrastructure, security, product, and business teams to deliver automated, scalable workflows that improve efficiency.

You will foster a high-performing, inclusive team culture, coach engineers, and drive Agile delivery, DevOps practices, and platform standards, while focusing on risk reduction and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

5+ years leading enterprise application platforms and teams.
Experience with AWS and Agile delivery.
Proficiency with Python.
Proficiency with RESTful APIs and SQL.
Experience with DevOps/CI/CD.
Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

Lead the strategy, governance, architecture, and operational health of the AWS platform.
Develop a high-performing AWS engineering team with inclusive culture.
Drive Agile delivery with Product Owners to prioritize work and releases.
Establish development, integration, security, and platform standards.
Partner across teams to identify automation opportunities and scalable capabilities.
