Job summary

Amazon OpenSearch Service is seeking a Software Development Engineer to build world‑class cloud‑scale search and analytics applications for OpenSearch Dashboards. You will architect, design, and implement high‑performance software that powers log analytics, observability, and full‑text search for hundreds of thousands of AWS customers.

You will work on core OpenSearch platform areas, contribute to the open‑source project, and collaborate with a talented team in a fast‑paced, startup‑style

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non‑internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability, scaling).
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large‑scale, multi‑tiered or distributed software applications using C++, Java, C#, or Perl.
• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support a world‑class search and analytics platform.
• Produce high‑quality, robust, efficient code.
• Contribute to OpenSearch UI and the OpenSearch project.
• Work on challenges in data visualization, log analytics, and security analytics.
• Drive architecture design and deliver results for cloud‑scale search services.
