Job summary

AbbVie Inc. in North Chicago, IL seeks an early-career Integration Engineer to help build and support system-to-system integrations and APIs on AWS.

You will work with senior engineers and business stakeholders, starting with well-scoped tasks and taking on more ownership as you grow. Responsibilities include building, testing, and deploying integrations with AWS serverless services, writing maintainable code, and using Terraform and GitHub Actions to deploy your work.

Responsibilities

• Gather and clarify requirements with business and technical stakeholders.
• Build, test, and deploy integrations and APIs using AWS serverless services such as Lambda, Step Functions, SQS/SNS, EventBridge, S3, and API Gateway.
• Write clean, maintainable code with proper error handling, logging, and retry, following team patterns.
• Use Terraform, GitHub Actions, and Git-based workflows to deploy and manage your work.
• Use AI coding agents day to day, following team standards for reviewing AI-generated code.
• Help monitor and troubleshoot integrations in production.
• Communicate clearly, share status, raise blockers early, and document your work.
• Follow corporate policies, including cybersecurity, change control, and the software development lifecycle.
