System One is seeking an AWS Infrastructure Project Manager to lead complex cloud and infrastructure initiatives in a large financial services environment in Knoxville, TN. This contract-to-hire role requires coordinating cross-functional teams and delivering on AWS, networking, security, and databases with an emphasis on minimizing production disruption.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of PM experience and solid Agile/Scrum knowledge, with strong stakeholder and executive communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery and coordination of complex infrastructure and cloud initiatives in a large financial services environment.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects spanning AWS, databases, networking, security, production support, upgrades, migrations, and remediation.
  • Develop and maintain project roadmaps, schedules, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and action plans.
  • Coordinate AWS, database, network, security, infrastructure, migration, upgrade, and remediation initiatives.
  • Drive readiness and coordinate activities across application owners, infrastructure, security, and other stakeholders.
  • Identify upstream/downstream impacts of infrastructure changes and secure commitments.
  • Report status, risks, and decisions to senior management and facilitate governance meetings.
  • Provide after-hours or weekend support for scheduled implementations or major incidents.

Job Title: AWS Infrastructure Project Manager
Location: Knoxville, Tennessee

Compensation: $95,000.00

Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery and coordination of complex infrastructure and cloud initiatives within a large-scale financial services environment.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects spanning AWS cloud infrastructure, databases, networking, security, production support, upgrades, migrations, and remediation efforts.
  • Develop and maintain project roadmaps, schedules, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and action plans.
  • Coordinate AWS, database, network, security, infrastructure, migration, upgrade, and remediation initiatives.
  • Drive implementation readiness and coordinate activities across application owners, infrastructure teams, security teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Identify upstream and downstream application impacts associated with infrastructure changes.
  • Obtain commitments from participating teams and follow through on actions through completion.
  • Identify and escalation delivery risks, resource constraints, production impacts, and schedule concerns.
  • Translate technical discussions into clear business impacts, decisions, risks, and executive-level updates.
  • Facilitate project meetings, working sessions, readiness reviews, and stakeholder discussions.
  • Prepare project status reporting, presentations, dashboards, and remediation updates for senior management.
  • Support incident and remediation coordination with a focus on minimizing production disruption.
  • Provide occasional after-hours or weekend support for scheduled implementations, critical remediation, or major incidents.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of project management experience, with a strong background managing enterprise infrastructure, cloud, database, network, security, or production support initiatives.
  • Proven experience managing multiple concurrent, time-sensitive infrastructure projects across a large enterprise.
  • Working knowledge of AWS cloud environments and infrastructure concepts. Hands-on AWS engineering expertise is not required.
  • Good understanding of enterprise networking, databases, infrastructure, security, and application dependencies.
  • Experience building and maintaining project roadmaps and managing schedules, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, and remediation plans.
  • Strong Agile/Scrum knowledge and experience working within enterprise technology delivery environments.
  • Ability to assess and communicate upstream/downstream impacts of infrastructure and cloud changes.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including coordinating across multiple teams and gaining commitments without direct authority.
  • Strong executive communication skills with the ability to turn complex technical discussions into clear status, risk, impact, and decision points.
  • Solid experience with Excel for project tracking, reporting, and analysis.
  • Strong risk and issue management skills, including timely escalation and consistent follow-through.
