Job summary

Amentum in Arlington, VA is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support a DoW Special Programs customer building a new application in AWS GovCloud. You will own the full platform lifecycle, implement IaC, manage CI/CD pipelines, enforce security, and ensure IL4/IL5 compliance.

The role requires 5+ years of hands-on AWS DevOps experience, TS/SCI clearance, and strong scripting. Onsite work Monday–Friday, with standard 80 hours per two weeks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of DevOps experience in AWS GovCloud or DoD-regulated environments.
• Experience building IaC with CloudFormation or CDK and auditable change control.
• Design and operate CI/CD pipelines with artifact management and rollback procedures.
• Implement private networking (VPC, PrivateLink, egress controls).
• Integrate security throughout the DevOps lifecycle, including automated testing.
• Strong scripting (Python or similar).

Responsibilities

• Owns the design, deployment, operations, patching, and maintenance of AWS GovCloud infrastructure.
• Builds and maintains end-to-end CI/CD pipelines.
• Implements automated security controls and continuous monitoring.
• Enforces least-privilege access and DoD IL4/IL5 compliance.
• Responds to incidents with root-cause analysis and documented actions.
• Maintains runbooks and architecture diagrams.
