Responsibilities

• Layout and mark accurately using tape measures, squares, levels, and layout tools.
• Perform FCAW in 1G or 3G positions per shop drawings; complete thermal cutting, back-gouging, and grinding as needed.
• Coordinate work with CNC operators, foremen, fellow welders, fabricators, painters, and QC personnel.
• Self-inspect and resolve issues before QC inspection; elevate drawing or material discrepancies to supervision.

About the RoleStep into a busy AISC-certified shop where precision and pace go hand-in-hand. As our AWS FCAW Structural Welder-Fabricator, you’ll begin each shift confirming piece marks, revision levels, and finish codes before laying out steel with tapes, squares, levels, and other layout tools.
