Job summary

Intone Inc. is seeking an AWS Engineer for a 6+ month contract position based in Malvern, PA. The role focuses on cloud infrastructure, serverless architecture, and deployment automation within a complex, event-driven environment.

Responsibilities include managing AWS infrastructure, developing Python-based Lambda functions, and leading efforts across cross-account access, S3 governance, and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or related technical discipline.
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on AWS development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Experience developing cloud-native microservices and REST APIs.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, SNS, SQS, EventBridge, and Step Functions.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, asynchronous messaging, and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

• Act as a lead authority for resolving infrastructure-level impediments, including cross-account access, S3 governance, and event-driven architecture maintenance.
• Design and implement cloud-native microservices and REST APIs.
• Manage and troubleshoot distributed systems, asynchronous messaging, and event-driven architectures.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation using GitHub Actions.
• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases including DynamoDB, RDS, and other data stores.

Qualifications

• Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
  • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • 5+ years of hands‑on AWS development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Python.
  • Experience developing cloud-native microservices and REST APIs.
  • Hands‑on experience with AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, SNS, SQS, EventBridge, and Step Functions.
  • Strong knowledge of distributed systems, asynchronous messaging, and event‑driven architecture.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Preferred
  • Experience in Financial Services, Banking, Asset Management, or FinTech.
  • AWS Certified Developer - Associate or AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification.
  • Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
  • Hands‑on experience with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).
  • Familiarity with AI/ML integrations using Amazon Bedrock or SageMaker.
  • Knowledge of event streaming technologies such as Kafka or Amazon MSK.
  • Experience implementing secure coding practices and cloud security controls.
