Data Dimensions in the United States seeks an experienced Infrastructure / DevOps Engineer to own and evolve the cloud infrastructure behind a HIPAA-compliant healthcare platform. Our AWS-native stack includes PHP 8.3 / Symfony, React, Aurora MySQL, and MongoDB, with a distributed microservices architecture and a central REST API monitored via CloudWatch and Datadog.

Qualifications

• Linux server administration with Ubuntu 24.04 LTS.
• Hands-on AWS production experience (EC2, ALB/ELB, Aurora MySQL, S3, ECS, CloudWatch, IAM, VPC).
• Docker — building, running and troubleshooting containerized services.
• CI/CD pipelines design and maintenance (Bitbucket Pipelines).
• Bash scripting for automation and support.
• Centralized logging/observability in CloudWatch and Datadog.
• Web server operations—Apache and PHP-FPM behind a load balancer.
• MySQL (Aurora/RDS) administration; exposure to MongoDB.
• Secrets management across environments.
• Distributed, stateless microservices and scaling work with engineering.
• SFTP administration and secure file transfer.

Responsibilities

• Own reliability, performance, and security of the AWS production environment.
• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for PHP/Symfony and React apps.
• Mature infrastructure-as-code practices and codify current managed state.
• Build centralized logging/monitoring across CloudWatch and Datadog.
• Manage container workloads (Docker on ECS) and specialized telephony containers.
• Support database reliability and performance for Aurora MySQL and MongoDB.
• Harden the platform for PHI compliance and support penetration testing.
• Manage secrets and access across AWS, Symfony, Docker, and CI/CD environments.
