Job summary

Data Dimension is seeking an experienced Infrastructure / DevOps Engineer to own and evolve the cloud infrastructure behind a HIPAA-compliant healthcare document processing platform. Our AWS-native stack includes PHP 8.3 / Symfony, React, Aurora MySQL, and MongoDB in a distributed microservices setup.

Qualifications

• Linux servers (Ubuntu 24.04 LTS) required.
• AWS production experience on EC2, ALB/ELB, Aurora MySQL, S3, ECS, CloudWatch, IAM, VPC.
• Dockerized services in production (ECS).
• CI/CD design with Bitbucket Pipelines and environment promotion.
• Scripting with Bash for automation and pipelines.
• Centralized logging/observability with CloudWatch and Datadog; ELK/Splunk experience a plus.
• Database operations for MySQL/Aurora and MongoDB; security-conscious mindset.

Responsibilities

• Own reliability, performance, and security of AWS production environment.
• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for PHP/Symfony and React apps.
• Mature infrastructure-as-code practices and codify current provisioning.
• Build and tune central logging/monitoring across CloudWatch and Datadog.
• Manage container workloads (Docker on ECS) and specialized FXS/telephony containers.
• Support per-service ECS auto-scaling, load balancing, and right-sizing.
• Assist with database reliability for Aurora MySQL and MongoDB; performance tuning.
• Harden platform for PHI/HIPAA compliance and support penetration tests.
• Manage secrets and access across environments (AWS, Symfony, Docker).
• Partner with engineering to improve deployment safety and multi-environment parity.
