Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Software Engineer III to help build, operate, and scale AWS-based production environments with a focus on EKS/ECS. The role emphasizes reliability, observability, automation, and secure delivery, including Akamai edge controls and AI-enabled services.

You will contribute to CI/CD, incident response, and runbooks while collaborating with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate has hands-on AWS, container experience, Terraform IaC, scripting skills, and familiarity

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering.
• 3+ years of applied software engineering experience.
• Strong AWS and container platform knowledge (EKS/ECS).
• Experience using Terraform (IaC) for provisioning infrastructure.
• Scripting/automation experience (Bash, Python, Perl) and CI/CD exposure.
• Familiarity with enterprise AI-assisted development tools and governance.
• Understanding of incident and change management practices (ITSM).

Responsibilities

• Execute software solutions with design, development, and troubleshooting.
• Manage and scale AWS infrastructure on EKS/ECS; provision and manage with Terraform; support CI/CD pipelines.
• Leverage enterprise AI coding assist tools while ensuring correctness and security.
• Administer and optimize Akamai CDN configurations and CSP security controls.
• Build dashboards and alerts using Splunk; participate in incident response and RCA.
• Support change management with peer reviews and risk-aware planning.
