Job summary

Certegy Payment Solutions is seeking a hands-on DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and operate automated, secure cloud infrastructure in AWS. You will work across engineering, product, security, and operations to deliver scalable platforms that power payments and risk management services.

The role emphasizes governance, IaC, and reliable deployments, with on-site work in Florida or Texas and collaboration with global teams.

Qualifications

• Experience automating deployments and operating in a continuous delivery model.
• Proficient in CI/CD using Jenkins or equivalent.
• Designing and supporting highly available production systems in AWS (ELB/ALB, EC2, ECS, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, S3, IAM, Route 53, DynamoDB).
• Experience with Git/GitHub and branching strategies (GitFlow).
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform; familiarity with Ansible and Packer is a plus.
• Monitoring/observability and log aggregation (New Relic, CloudWatch, Datadog, Sumo Logic, ELK).
• Experience with middleware/web stacks (Apache, NGINX, Tomcat, JBoss).
• Strong networking knowledge (DNS, DHCP, SSH, HTTP, TCP/IP).
• Experience with containerized workloads and AWS container services such as ECS.

Responsibilities

• Build, deploy, and maintain new versions of applications and services in AWS.
• Develop and maintain IaC and deployment pipelines.
• Define governance for running workloads in AWS.
• Provision cloud resources with security-focused patterns.
• Collaborate with engineering, security, product, and operations teams.
• Participate in architecture and design reviews.
• Lead planning, estimation, and progress updates for initiatives.
• Improve availability, scalability, and performance of platforms.
• Automate repetitive tasks and reduce downtime.
• Manage AWS environments including load balancers, compute, and databases.
• Write and maintain Terraform code for secure cloud solutions.
• Troubleshoot production issues and drive timely resolutions.
• Drive process improvements and automation.
• Document infrastructure decisions and runbooks.
