Job summary

Asterism IT Solutions is seeking an experienced AWS Developer to design and implement backend services using Node.js and TypeScript. The role focuses on building RESTful APIs, leveraging AWS services, and applying infrastructure-as-code, automated testing, and CI/CD practices.

The successful candidate will work on a hybrid model in Malvern, PA, three days onsite per week, collaborating with a team to deliver secure, scalable cloud-based solutions while ensuring high test coverage and robust

Responsibilities

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced AWS Developer with strong backend development experience using Node.js and TypeScript. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing and developing REST APIs and working with AWS cloud services, infrastructure-as-code, automated testing, and CI/CD workflows.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of backend development experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript
• Experience with NestJS or a comparable dependency-injection framework
• Spring Boot experience may be considered as transferable experience
• Strong experience designing and developing REST APIs
• Experience with OpenAPI / Swagger
• Hands-on AWS experience with:
  • AWS Lambda
  • API Gateway
  • S3
  • ECS
  • Secrets Manager
• Experience with CloudFormation / Infrastructure as Code
• Strong Jest unit testing experience
• Experience working with a 100% test coverage gate
• Experience with Git feature-branch and pull-request workflows
• Experience working with CI gates / CI workflows
• Must be able to work onsite in Malvern, PA 3 days per week
