Job summary

Asterism IT Solutions in Malvern, PA seeks an experienced AWS Developer to design and implement backend services using Node.js and TypeScript. The role focuses on REST APIs, AWS services, and infrastructure-as-code, with automated testing and CI/CD workflows.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in backend development, hands-on AWS experience, and familiarity with NestJS or similar frameworks. This is a long-term contract requiring on-site presence 3 days per week in Malvern.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend development experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript
• Experience with NestJS or a comparable dependency-injection framework
• Experience with REST APIs and OpenAPI/Swagger
• Hands-on AWS experience with Lambda, API Gateway, S3, ECS, Secrets Manager
• Experience with CloudFormation / Infrastructure as Code
• Strong Jest unit testing experience
• Experience with a 100% test coverage gate and Git workflows
• Experience with CI gates / CI workflows
• Must be able to work onsite in Malvern, PA 3 days per week

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing REST APIs in AWS environments
• Building and maintaining backend services with Node.js/TypeScript
• Implementing IaC using CloudFormation and CI/CD automation
• Ensuring test coverage and quality with Jest and test gates
• Collaborating via Git feature branches and PR workflows
