Job summary

Western Partitions, Inc. seeks a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our team in Salt Lake City. The ideal candidate will hold AWS D1.1 certification and demonstrate proficiency in the 3G vertical position, performing MIG welding, cutting, and fabrication to exacting standards.

You will read blueprints, interpret drawings, and ensure safety and quality while meeting project deadlines. We value experience with steel, fabrication machinery, and a strong work ethic in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Valid AWS D1.1 certification and proficiency in 3G vertical welding.
• Minimum 2 years of welding and metal fabrication experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols.
• Knowledge of steel and various metals; operate cutting/fabrication tools.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and working in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding and fabrication per project specs.
• Read blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately.
• Weld in the 3G vertical position and ensure AWS D1.1 compliance.
• Inspect equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and safety checks.
• Measure, cut, and shape metal using grinders, torches, and saws.
• Conduct weld quality checks to ensure structural integrity.
• Follow OSHA protocols and collaborate to meet deadlines.
