Job summary

Big Elk Energy Systems, LLC in Tulsa, OK seeks a skilled Structural Welder certified to AWS D1.1 standards. The ideal candidate will pass a FCAW test on a 1” plate in the 3G position and bring proven structural welding experience in an industrial environment. You will interpret blueprints, produce high-quality welds, and ensure work meets project specs and deadlines.

Requires strong attention to detail, safety practices, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods.

Qualifications

Ability to pass a FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) test on a 1” plate in the 3G position in accordance with AWS D1.1 standards.
Minimum of 2–3 years of structural welding experience in an industrial or fabrication environment.
Strong knowledge of welding symbols, blueprints, and fabrication drawings.
Familiarity with shop safety practices, tools, and equipment.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and remain on your feet for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

Interpret blueprints and welding symbols to produce high-quality welds.
Apply FCAW and other welding techniques per AWS D1.1 and project specs.
Ensure work meets project specifications and deadlines, maintaining safety practices.
