Job summary

Qualifications

• 3-5 years related experience.
• Read and interpret layouts, blueprints, sketches, and maintenance instructions.
• Write routine reports and communicate effectively one-on-one.
• Calculate figures and apply basic algebra and geometry.
• Interpret varied instructions and follow safety procedures including WPS and AWS D1.1.

Responsibilities

• Set up and assemble components requiring welding to applicable standards.
• Learn and follow procedures in the fabricating department.
• Understand engineering drawings and the design intent.
• Identify materials correctly for processing and select proper tooling.
• Operate welding equipment and use inspection tools (calipers, protractor, etc.).
• Tag parts, fill paperwork, plan sequence of steps, and ensure timely completion.
