Role Overview

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Security Assurance team is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable leader to influence how AWS delivers assurance to its customers. Key Responsibilities

1. Deep dive into AWS control environment to understand security activities and control implementations, and communicate compliance implications to customers and auditors.
2. Understand and explain how AWS controls meet regulated industry compliance requirements.
3. Simplify security compliance requirements into clear technical controls and policies.
4. Collaborate with stakeholders to support compliance and audit requests.
5. Engage with customers, regulators, and auditors to articulate control implementations and compliance considerations.
6. Apply knowledge of global security regulations to align AWS controls with customer obligations.
7. Identify insights to enhance global assurance capabilities, focusing on efficiency and scalability.

Qualifications

Basic:

• 5+ years in risk management, audit, or compliance within regulated industries or service providers.
• Experience with compliance frameworks like NIST, ISO, PCI, GDPR.
• One or more industry-recognized certifications (e.g., CISA, CISM, CRISC, CISSP).

Preferred:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related fields.
• Experience in security design, compliance consulting, or advisory in technical environments.
• Experience with third-party risk management and IT audit processes.
