Job summary

TalentHop is seeking an Automation Test Engineer to design and implement test automation strategies for AWS-based environments supporting US federal government projects. The role ensures quality across UI, API, databases and cloud services, and reinforces CI/CD processes.

The engineer will develop automated test frameworks, perform end-to-end and performance testing in cloud environments, and collaborate with Agile teams to embed testing in development cycles.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, KeySpaces, EMR and Batch Jobs.
• Proficiency with automation tools like Playwright, Postman and RestAssured.
• Scripting in Python, Java or Bash.
• Experience with GitLab, Docker, CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Experience testing microservices architectures.
• Strong test data management and environment setup.
• Knowledge of API contract testing, database validation and auth testing.
• Excellent documentation and defect-tracking skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute automated test scripts for various software components.
• Perform end-to-end testing across UI, API, database and cloud layers.
• Build and maintain automation frameworks from the ground up.
• Conduct performance testing in cloud environments.
• Support test case design, execution and maintenance activities.
• Utilize AWS services to manage and monitor test environments.
• Collaborate with Agile teams to integrate testing within development cycles.
