Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group is seeking a Cloud Test Automation Engineer to own automated validation for cloud-to-device deployment workflows in an AWS environment. The role focuses on building robust test suites and integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines.

You will develop AWS CDK TypeScript stacks, manage deployments for AWS IoT Greengrass components, and collaborate with teams to improve testability while supporting validation with physical devices and ongoing operational needs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on AWS automation experience.
• Proficient with AWS CDK and TypeScript; Python scripting and test automation.
• Experience developing automated tests and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Own cloud test automation, including design, implementation, testing, CI/CD integration, and release readiness.
• Develop and maintain AWS CDK (TypeScript) stacks to provision cloud environments and deploy AWS IoT Greengrass components.
• Build and maintain automated integration, end-to-end, and regression test suites.
• Improve test reliability, reduce flaky tests, and enhance diagnostics and observability.
• Investigate defects, perform root‑cause analysis, and drive issues through resolution.
• Maintain test dashboards, coverage metrics, release checklists, runbooks, and automated alerts.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve system testability and prevent regressions.
• Support validation using physical devices and participate in operational support as required.
