Job summary

Everforth ECS seeks an AWS Cloud Security Engineer to join our Stafford, VA hybrid office. You will design and secure CODIS cloud infrastructure, manage IAM, VPCs, and network security, and contribute to security documentation and compliance efforts.

Responsibilities include implementing NIST SP 800-53 controls, maintaining CloudFormation/Terraform pipelines, and collaborating with development and infrastructure teams to keep environments stable and secure.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain.
• Hands-on AWS experience administering EC2, IAM, VPC, and AMIs.
• Experience implementing security controls across cloud and OS layers.
• Familiarity with NIST SP 800-53 and RMF/ATO processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure for CODIS cloud environments.
• Implement and validate security settings for cloud, OS, and applications.
• Develop infrastructure as code using CloudFormation and Terraform.
• Support Dev/Test/Prod environments and incident response.
• Contribute to security documentation and POA&Ms as needed.
• Triage issues and provide root-cause analyses to prevent recurrence.
