Job summary

Unacast is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer focused on AWS to own and strengthen security across our cloud environment. This remote role reports to the VP of Engineering and is hands-on, shaping security controls, incident response, and AI-risk governance.

You will lead security across AWS and broader systems, collaborating with engineering to implement guardrails, guard against prompt injection and data leakage, and maintain security policies and standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in information security with AWS cloud security focus.
• Certifications (e.g., CISSP, AWS Certified Security Specialty) preferred.
• Experience integrating security into DevOps and cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain security controls across AWS environments.
• Lead secure DevOps practices and deployment processes.
• Use AWS security tooling to improve posture and detection capabilities.
• Remediate cloud vulnerabilities in partnership with engineering teams.
• Monitor cloud environments for threats and respond to security alerts.
• Support incident response and security audits, including post-incident follow-ups.
• Define guardrails for AI use and data handling with AI tools and LLM services.
• Educate engineers and non-technical teams on safe AI practices.
