Job summary

Chainguard is seeking a Sr Security Engineer to secure a multi-cloud environment (primarily GCP with AWS/Azure). This cloud-native, AI-focused company builds secure, scalable platforms to accelerate innovation and protect the software supply chain.

You will partner with Developer Platform and IAM teams, design identity strategies, and implement Terraform/IaC pipelines to harden environments and improve resilience.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on GCP administration
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure is a plus
• Solid DevOps background with Terraform/IaC and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with software supply chain security concepts (SLSA) is a plus
• Experience securing AI/ML infrastructure or agentic workflows
• Excellent communication and collaboration across teams

Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain secure cloud environments
• Embed security into architecture and tooling with Developers
• Design and enforce identity and access strategies across cloud environments
• Harden cloud platforms against threats while ensuring high availability
• Build automation, pipelines, and guardrails using Terraform/IaC and Kubernetes
• Secure AI-driven pipelines and AI agent workflows
• Translate security requirements into adoptable designs across teams
• Help set long-term architectural vision for scaling security
• Adapt architecture as the company grows and priorities shift
• Assist during incident response investigations
