Job summary

System One, Inc. is seeking an AWS Cloud Security Architect to lead security design across enterprise applications and cloud environments. You will partner with engineering to migrate workloads to AWS, define security guardrails, and perform risk assessments for cloud-native solutions. Strong knowledge of AWS security services and frameworks is required.

The role emphasizes AI/GenAI security, governance, and collaboration with multiple teams to ensure secure production deployments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years IT experience with cybersecurity and cloud security experience.
• 5+ years in cybersecurity architecture roles (InfoSec/Cloud/Infrastructure).
• 5+ years hands-on AWS cloud security including migrations.
• Strong knowledge of AWS security services, IAM, networking, logging and data protection.
• Experience with threat modeling, risk assessments, and remediation planning.
• Familiarity with NIST, FedRAMP and FIPS frameworks.
• Knowledge of AI/GenAI security including prompts, guardrails, and data protection.
• Preferred security certifications (CISSP/CCSP/CISA/CISM/GIAC) and AWS/Azure/GCP certs.

Responsibilities

• Provide security architecture guidance for AWS cloud environments and hybrid infra.
• Partner with engineering to securely migrate workloads to AWS and other clouds.
• Define and maintain cloud security patterns, guardrails, and reference architectures.
• Conduct security reviews, threat modeling, and risk assessments for cloud solutions.
• Define security controls and remediation or compensating controls for gaps.
• Support secure AI/GenAI adoption including LLMs, RAG, and data protection.
• Support AI governance, monitoring, incident escalation, and lifecycle controls.
• Assess solutions against NIST, FedRAMP, FIPS and other standards.
• Provide security guidance during evaluations, architecture reviews, and production paths.
• Collaborate with security, engineering, compliance, and business stakeholders.
