Job summary

Everforth ECS in Fairfax, VA is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Platforms Site Reliability Engineer to join our hybrid team. You will design, implement, and operate reliable AWS cloud infrastructure with a focus on HA, DR, IaC, and automation to support mission-critical workloads for DoD-related environments.

The role requires Terraform expertise, strong SRE fundamentals, and collaboration with security, DevOps, and platform teams.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, deploying, and supporting highly available cloud infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and IaC for provisioning cloud resources.
• Strong understanding of HA/DR architectures and recovery planning.
• Knowledge of SRE concepts, SLIs, SLOs, and incident response.
• Ability to document architecture and runbooks clearly.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain highly available cloud infrastructure using Terraform and IaC principles.
• Support and maintain HA and DR solutions including automated failover, backups, and geographic resiliency.
• Manage lifecycle of cloud infrastructure including provisioning, patching, and decommissioning.
• Automate infrastructure deployment and routine ops to reduce manual work.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability for production infra.
• Contribute to incident response, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
• Define and maintain reliability standards (SLIs/SLOs, RTOs, RPOs).
• Validate disaster recovery procedures through exercises and tests.
• Collaborate across application, security, DevOps, and platform teams.
• Maintain documentation, runbooks, and recovery procedures.
