Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Limited in the United States, Philadelphia area seeks a Cloud Operations Manager to lead cloud engineers, SREs, and network/database teams. You will drive IaC automation, ensure reliability and security, and define scalable cloud architectures using AWS.

Lead strategic cloud initiatives, mentor engineering staff, and partner with project managers and vendors to optimize production capabilities, monitoring, and governance for compliant, cost-efficient services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Total IT experience of 14+ years in large enterprises
• 5+ years of hands-on AWS cloud environment management and leading cloud operations teams
• Proven leadership experience managing technical teams
• Deep understanding of cloud architecture, AWS services and solutions
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform), and scripting languages
• AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, or DevOps Engineer preferred
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills with a focus on collaboration

Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning: Develop and execute long-term cloud strategy aligned with business objectives, including migration plans and scalability needs
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of cloud engineers, providing guidance on operational excellence and technical innovation
• Automation: Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices using Terraform or CloudFormation
• Security Compliance: Enforce strict security measures, compliance standards, and data protection protocols within the cloud environment
• Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Ensure 24/7 availability of cloud systems through proactive monitoring and incident response
• Performance Optimization: Continuously review and enhance application performance for low latency and high availability
• Cost Optimization: Monitor and manage cloud spend with opportunities for savings without affecting performance
• Innovation: Regularly evaluate emerging technologies to improve cloud services
• Proactive Risk Management: Identify risks or vulnerabilities and address them proactively
• Compliance Leadership: Stay updated on regulatory changes and enforce adherence to laws and standards
• Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to align cloud operations with organizational goals
• Vendor Management: Coordinate with AWS and third-party vendors to optimize service agreements
