Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a mid-level Application Integration Engineer to deliver secure, production-ready integrations across legacy apps, vendor platforms, and AWS-hosted services. You will own API design, data exchange, and integration testing in a regulated federal environment.

You will develop Java/Spring Boot RESTful APIs, configure AWS-based components, and collaborate with architects, security, and product teams to meet modernization objectives and platform standards.

Qualifications

• Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD PUBLIC TRUST.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 4–6 years of software engineering, API development, data integration, or related roles.
• Strong Java, Spring Boot, RESTful API development, and microservices skills.
• Experience integrating Java and Python using APIs, messaging, and data transformation.

Responsibilities

• Develop Java/Spring Boot RESTful APIs and AWS-based integration components.
• Configure data exchange between Java and Python applications.
• Support modernized vendor capabilities with legacy systems integration.
• Implement secure AWS access using IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, VPC, and secure exposure patterns.
• Create and maintain API contracts, data mappings, and test results.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
