Job summary

MANTECH seeks a motivated AWS Cloud Engineer to join our team in Annapolis Junction, MD. The role focuses on building and maintaining enterprise cloud environments, primarily in AWS, with governance via Kion and automation via SaltStack.

Responsibilities include Tier 2 admin tasks for Windows/LINUX, CI/CD support, and incident response with a strong emphasis on secure, scalable infrastructure for defense missions. TS/SCI w/Polygraph clearance required.

Qualifications

BS in System Engineering, CS, IS or related field; 5 years can substitute for degree.
20 years of experience as a Systems Administrator or Cloud Engineer.
IAT II certification (Security+ or equivalent) or obtain within 60 days of start.
Proficiency in RHEL 8/9 and Windows Server environments.
Experience with cloud environments and NiFi data flow.

Responsibilities

Provide Tier 2 administration, troubleshooting for Windows Server 2022 and Windows 10/11 clients, plus RHEL 8/9 in cloud environments.
Architect, deploy, and maintain cloud environments, primarily AWS, using Kion for governance.
Develop and maintain automation scripts and configurations with SaltStack.
Support CI/CD pipelines with development teams for stable deployments.
Monitor performance, availability, and security; respond to incidents and perform root cause analysis.
