Contact Government Services (CGS) seeks a Cloud Engineer (AWS) to support a large federal agency. The role focuses on designing scalable cloud solutions, ensuring security controls, and preparing engineering, security, and operations documentation.

The candidate will work across hybrid environments including Washington, DC and Arlington, VA, with remote options. The ideal candidate has 4+ years of IT experience, strong AWS skills, and a track record in migration and large-scale deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 4+ years IT experience supporting federal government agencies.
• 4+ years design/implementation of distributed applications.
• Hands-on AWS experience required; cloud services experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design solutions that are flexible, scalable, and secure.
• Support documentation for engineering, security, and ops processes.
• Perform business and technical analysis to aid customer decisions.
• Facilitate transition of solutions to operations and ensure ongoing baseline operations.
• Develop cloud-based solution designs and implementation plans based on customer needs.
