Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking an AWS Development Engineer in Tulsa, OK to design, build, deploy, and support scalable cloud-based applications on AWS. The role emphasizes cloud-native development, infrastructure automation, CI/CD, and secure software practices.

The candidate will collaborate with software developers, DevOps, security, and product stakeholders to mature cloud workflows and ensure reliable, secure cloud solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, IT, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years in software development, cloud engineering, or DevOps-related roles.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, or Go).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or CodePipeline).
• Strong understanding of Linux/Unix, networking, and cloud security best practices.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications and services on AWS.
• Build and manage cloud infrastructure using IaC tools (CloudFormation or Terraform).
• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment in cloud deployments.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define cloud architecture and best practices.
• Ensure security and governance standards are integrated into AWS solutions.
