Job summary

Tier4 Group seeks a Senior AWS Developer to design, build and scale cloud-native applications in a fast-paced team. This hybrid role offers 1 day onsite weekly in the greater Boston area and extensive work across full SDLC.

The ideal candidate will have strong AWS expertise (Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, Cognito, S3, CloudWatch), hands-on CI/CD, Docker, Python and React experience, and a passion for scalable serverless solutions.

Tier4 Group is URGENTLY seeking a Senior AWS Developer to join a fast-paced team building and enhancing cloud-native applications and integrations. This hybrid role (1day/wk onsite) in the greater Boston area is ideal for an experienced developer who enjoys designing scalable serverless solutions, developing modern web applications, and working across the full software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy AWS-based applications
• Build serverless solutions using AWS services and Infrastructure as Code
• Develop backend services in Python and frontend applications in React
• Create and optimize PostgreSQL databases, queries, and integrations
• Design and support REST and SOAP API integrations
• Participate in architecture, technical design, code reviews, and documentation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience
• 5+ years of hands-on AWS experience
• Strong experience with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, Cognito, S3, and CloudWatch
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, GitHub Actions, and Docker
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and cloud security best practices
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills

Preferred

• Experience with enterprise content or document management systems
• Familiarity with Oracle and Java/J2EE environments
