Job summary

Conch Technologies, Inc is seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer in Irving, TX for a 12+ month contract. You will lead migration of on‑prem VMware workloads to AWS using VMC and HCX, and apply security controls across landing zones, IAM, and GuardDuty.

You will use AWS MGN and Migration Hub for discovery, replication, and cutovers, while configuring Direct Connect or VPN for hybrid connectivity.

Qualifications

• Experience migrating VMware workloads to AWS using VMware Cloud on AWS (VMC) and HCX.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, security controls, and IAM.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise data center exits and migrate on-prem VMware workloads to AWS using VMC/HCX.
• Utilize AWS Application Migration Service (MGN) and Migration Hub for discovery, replication, and cutovers.
• Design secure AWS landing zones, VPCs, subnets, Transit Gateway, and hybrid connectivity (Direct Connect/VPN).

Client Note: AWS Cloud architect with solid vmware to aws migration experience. Require professional and security certification.

Key Role Responsibilities

• Architecture & Migration: Lead enterprise data center exits and move on-premises VMware workloads to AWS using VMware Cloud on AWS (VMC) and VMware HCX for seamless workload mobility.
• Tooling Execution: Utilise tools like AWS Application Migration Service (MGN) and Migration Hub for discovery, replication, wave planning, and production cutovers.
• Networking & Security: Design secure AWS landing zones, VPCs, subnets, Transit Gateway, and hybrid connectivity (Direct Connect/VPN) while enforcing security controls like IAM, GuardDuty, and KMS
