Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst for the EC2 & EBS Capacity Finance team in Seattle, WA. The role focuses on capital expenditure planning, variance analysis, and multi-year forecasting for EC2 and EBS capacity initiatives.

You will partner with engineering, product management, and operations to deliver robust financial insights, build complex models, and drive controllership across the business in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field; or Bachelor's degree with 3+ years in quantitative roles
• 3+ years of tax, finance or related analytical field experience
• 3+ years of cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance
• 3+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns to support business strategy

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain complex financial models to measure capacity utilization and financial performance.
• Produce weekly forecast reports and executive-ready presentations.
• Own and drive planning and forecasting projects with cross-functional teams.
• Develop, improve, and automate financial reports and data pipelines to increase accuracy.
• Participate in capital analysis and capacity optimization initiatives.
• Deliver ad-hoc business support projects and deep-dives as needed
