Job summary

Mountain Home Montana is seeking a dependable Residential Program Specialist to provide awake overnight coverage in our residential program. The role supports residents, children, and families, maintaining a safe and organized environment while ensuring readiness for the day ahead.

The Weekday Night Shift RPS monitors safety, completes overnight tasks, and coordinates documentation and testing where required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to remain awake and onsite for the entire overnight shift.
• Ability to work independently while seeking supervisory, clinical, or emergency support.
• Strong observation, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to remain calm during stressful situations, conflict, or unexpected resident needs.
• Knowledge of or willingness to learn trauma-informed and strengths-based practices.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass required background checks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an awake presence in the residence throughout the shift.
• Monitor safety and complete overnight checks, including infant checks when assigned.
• Support nighttime routines, quiet hours, curfews, and residential expectations.
• Respond calmly to residents in distress or emergencies and contact on-call staff when necessary.
• Complete medication-support procedures when trained and authorized.
• Document safety records and weekly tracker entries accurately and on time.
